Maryam has made history as the first woman, African, and Nigerian to be honored with this powerful global role. This is more than a personal achievement, rather a proud moment for all of us who have witnessed her passion, eloquence, and tireless work for peace.
Similarly, Maryam has always been a strong and inspiring voice from Northern Nigeria. Through her poetry, public speaking, and advocacy, she has used words to heal, unite, and promote peace. Her work has touched many lives and reminded us that peace starts with understanding and empathy. Now, as a global ambassador, her voice will reach even more people by encouraging dialogue and transformation around the world.
May this new role amplify her voice even more and open greater doors for peace, dialogue, and transformation in Nigeria, across Africa, and around the world.
