Traditional toffee popularly known as illoka is a candy known among the northern Nigeria. Its delicious, tasty and chewy nature make it loved and enjoyed by many people. It is one of the oldest candies known among the Northern people. To prepare it, we need;
INGREDIENTS
1. Condensed milk, 1 tin
2. 250g butter or 1 cup of oil
PREPARATION METHOD
1. In a clear pot, add your oil or butter and let it melt.
2. Add in your concentrated milk into the oil or melted butter.
3. Then you keep stirring till it turns brown or golden brown (depending on how soft or hard you want it).
4. Take it off the fire.
5. While still hot, mould it to your desired shape and cut.
6. Let it cool
There you are! Ready to serve!
