Abuja July 30, 2025 ,In a move that is getting everyone talking, President Bola Tinubu held a private meeting on Wednesday with Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin a strong political ally of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the New Nigeria People's Party NNPP.
According to daily news paper, the meeting took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja and has sparked fresh rumours that Jibrin might be planning to dump NNPP and return to the All People's Congress APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
After the meeting, Jibrin spoke with reporters but did not clearly say if he is joining APC. Instead, he said, It is not time to talk about that, but anything is possible. What matters now national integration.
Some believe the meeting was meant to settle issues between Tinubu and Kwankwaso, who has been openly criticising Tinubu’s leadership especially over how the North is being treated. But Jibrin downplayed it, saying both Tinubu and Kwankwaso are experienced politicians who only want the best for the country.
He also added,People see things differently. Some see the cup half full, others see it half empty. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
